Make It Yours: Themes, Badges, and a Real Look at Your Burn
WhispCal just got more personal and more honest — four hand-tuned themes, streaks and badges that reward showing up, and Real Burn that measures your metabolism instead of guessing it.
We spent the last stretch on the parts of WhispCal you feel before you read a single number: how it looks, how it rewards you for coming back, and how honestly it reads your body. Here's what shipped.
Four themes, hand-tuned to the last pixel
A theme isn't a recolored background. When you switch WhispCal, every calorie zone, macro bar, chart line, and badge gets re-balanced so contrast and hierarchy hold up. Pick the one that fits your phone and your mood:
- OLED Black — true black that disappears into the bezel and sips battery.
- Nothing — stripped back, monospaced, quietly confident.
- Aubergine — deep and warm for late-night logging.
- Cool Mist — a bright, airy light theme for the daytime crowd.

Switch any time in Settings → Appearance. We add new ones regularly.
Streaks and badges that actually feel good
Tracking only works if you keep showing up, so we built the habit loop in. Your streak grows every day you log, the week fills in dot by dot, and badges unlock as the meals stack up — from First Bite to 1,000 Meals.

It's a small thing. It's also the difference between week one and month four.
Real Burn: measured, not guessed
Every other calorie counter hands you a TDEE from a formula and never looks back. WhispCal measures your Real Burn from your own weight trend and intake — and tells you how confident it is.

Real Burn: 2,076 kcal/day, measured over 29 days. Right on your estimate — for now. The moment your metabolism adapts to a diet, the measured number moves first, and you'll see it.
That's the whole point. Your metabolism isn't a fixed number, so your app shouldn't pretend it is.
Plus a sharper look everywhere
We refreshed the screens across the board — tighter typography, calmer spacing, and a home dashboard that puts your zone, your macros, and your next move in one glance.
Update from the App Store or Google Play and open Settings → Appearance to make it yours. As always, the core stays free.
