Now in French: WhispCal Speaks Your Language
WhispCal is now fully available in French — UI, food catalog, and brief notifications. A small touch for some, a real unlock for many.
Bienvenue.
WhispCal is now fully available in French. Not "machine-translated, half-baked, good-enough" French — properly translated, naturally written, and shipped end-to-end across the app.
That means:
- Every screen, every label, every button — translated. From onboarding to the Brief, from macro names to error messages.
- A verified French food catalog — poulet rôti, riz basmati cuit, haricots verts égouttés. Foods are named the way you'd actually say them, with the right serving sizes and prep variants.
- Voice logging in French — log meals the way you'd talk to a friend at the dinner table. "J'ai pris deux œufs, une tartine, et un café au lait." WhispCal handles it.
- Brief notifications, Autopilot phases, and weight check-ins — all natively translated, with tutoiement (we keep things warm — no vous, no formality).
Why this matters
A nutrition app that doesn't speak your first language is a friction tax — every food name, every coaching message, every nudge adds a small layer of translation in your head. Translation that, over weeks of daily use, quietly wears you down.
So we removed it. Voilà.
